| Just in is this very nice and very cool Comet Caliente. This is a car you just don't see very often, especially in this pristine condition. To start with the body is super straight, solid and clean. Except for the fiberglass “Ram-Air” hood, it appears to have all of its original body panels including the 1/4s, the floors and trunk. The paint is near flawless and definitely show-quality, and the thing that amazes me the most about the outside condition of this beauty is how nice the stainless trim is. It looks perfect and brand new. The interior is in perfect condition too, including the seats, door panels, carpeting and headliner and everything works as it should such as the lights, signals, wipers, horn, etc. It also has an original dash mounted tachometer. The engine is a 1965 HI-PO 289 c.i. w/2x4 carbs. I don't have any information about its internals but I can tell you that it runs extremely strong, pulls hard between all the gears and sounds awesome. It does have headers and new Flowmaster exhaust. The 4 speed trans shifts smooth and the clutch feels tight. This car really drives nice down the road with its new tires and 15'' TORQ-THRUST II AMERICAN RACING WHEELS. It also has adjustable ''CAL-TRAC'' bars to control wheel hop and to keep the back tires firmly planted to the ground. You just got to see it for yourself how absolutely beautiful this car is and how well it runs and drives -- even nicer than it looks.
