This company was established in 1915.In 1990s Gray Company started manufacturing Ford bodies and Chatham car bodies for local Chatham car manufacturers. Gray Cars were popularly known for their reliable low maintenance engines which would start easily in any weather condition.
Gray Touring 1922 is a four Door touring Car. It was one of the low priced American automobile. It had got recognition in New York Auto Show; its first year had enough orders that were received at New York Auto Show. 1923 Gray Touring Roadster would give good fuel efficiency because of its perfectly engineered engines. $ 490 was the actual price of 1923 Gray Touring Roadster .Then cane the 1924 Gray four door sedan. Which had good quality cabin that was finely designed, overall stylish appearance and fuel efficiency were some of the added and attractive features of 1924 Gray Touring. This Gray Touring had many comfort features added to it than its previous model Roadster. These Gray Cars models were powered by L-head, 4 cylinder, 161cu in engine.
In 1925 Gray came up with a 3passenger Coupe, 5 passenger Touring car,and a 5 passenger Sedan. All three models had the same 4-cylinder engine that generates 21 horsepower 1925 Gray had a 104 inches wheelbase. The 3 passenger mini luxurious Coupe was priced at $845.00.
5 passenger touring had 3 bearing crankshaft.. Cellular radiator. Two unit starting system. Vacuum gasoline system, Semi-floating rear axle. Selective sliding transmission (3 forward and 1 reverse). Five passenger Touring was priced $630.Five Passenger Sedan was priced $895.

Gray Touring is one of the cheapest automobiles of that period with all the luxury futures and fuel efficient engine. It was mainly popular for the stylish trendy body and elegant design. Gray Cars main U.S.P. (unique selling point) was the low maintenance and fuel efficient engine.
